| Skyds letter from Venzel U. Hammershaimb, the famous creator of the Faroese language and later vice-bishop, sent to Zacharias Heinson. Delivered from Thorshavn to the settlement of Boe on the Island of Vaagoe. The address was written on the outside of the letter and sealed with red wax, a common practice for this period. Few early letters are known. |
