| Early in 1940, before WWII reached Denmark, regular mail connections were discontinued. To ensure Government mail delivery, a special courier service was established so official mail could be delivered to/from the Ministry of State. When a ship was ready the mail would be placed in sacks, given to the Captain, who would deliver the mail to official authorities. Mail delivered using this system was cancelled STATSMINISTERIET | |
