British Registry Labels

     1945

Because of the interruption of supplies of registry labels produced in Denmark, towards the end of World War II the labels were produced in Great Britain.  The normal labels, white with red lettering, were replaced with the traditional British type (white with blue lettering).  These labels were introduced in the Spring of 1945 and may have been used as late as early 1947    The first cover illustrated contains the  traditional red registry label to allow the viewer to distinguish the different types of labels.
